Tobi Babayemi

Tobi Babayemi is a doctoral student in the Department of Bioengineering at Rice University. She completed her bachelor of science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas and is currently conducting her thesis research in the Sirianni Laboratory for Nanomedicine. Her research interests are in the areas of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering as it relates to cancer therapeutics. Her current research is focused on developing models that accurately predict the pharmacokinetics of drug payloads infused into the brain for the treatment of pediatric brain tumors. She aspires to one day work in the Biotech industry and volunteer full-time in medical missions overseas.
