The CBA team is made up of scholars and advocates from across academia. What started as a Facebook discussion quickly developed into a passionate project sparked by growing concerns over the lack of black representation in academic text. We are a collaborative, diverse group who supports not only the work done here but our individual aspirations as well. Our roles include students, editors, and directors of research centers and programs; our degrees range from Bachelors to PhDs. These attributes are important as they not only address the responsibility we each have in contributing to anti-racist movements but also our commitment to shifting the narrative of who is invited to share in academic advocacy.
